Singer Mathur is using his music to light up African villages. There is no electricity in the villages. The name of the song is Until the sun comes up(直到太阳升起). If you listen to the words of the song, you will know it is just dance music. But it is helping to change the lives of school children in a small African village in Tanzania(坦桑尼亚).
The singer says he wanted to help others when he learned that so many people live without electricity. Mathur and his friends gave 320 lights to school children in Tanzania. The lights don’t need fire or electricity, but sunlight. The lights will help the students study for over 375,000 hours. That will save their parents nearly $60,000. Mathur says he hopes his song can make other singers come to these places and help the people here.
